A new Samsung Galaxy smartphone will launch on October 11, and the company has confirmed the same with an official teaser.

On Friday, Samsung released invitations for the launch of a new device at a Galaxy event on October 11.

Last month Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 9 in an event in NY.

According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S10+ might feature up to five cameras - three on the back, two on the front.

SC won’t evacuate prison for Hurricane Florence
Scientists have filmed an astonishing video of the interior of Hurricane Florence , as the storm bears down on North and SC . There are now two more tropical storms in the Atlantic - Joyce and Isaac - and a category 1 hurricane named Helen.

Alternatively, Samsung could also be referring to 4X optical zoom for a new Galaxy phone.

In its teaser, Samsung mentions, "4X Fun - A Galaxy Event". It is highly unlikely that Samsung will be announcing a new flagship at this time of the year. The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. Now with Samsung's confirmation for an October event perfectly fits the bill.

Either way the focus with this phone will be on the camera. There's been other rumours and speculation to support this, such as notable Samsung leaker @UniverseIce tweeting "Samsung Camera Camera Camera Camera" earlier this month. The Mate 20 Pro is expected to deliver Galaxy S10-grade specs this year and could become the main iPhone XS competitor until the 2019 Android flagships arrive. But still, color us intrigued.

I need to remind you that Samsung and Huawei have had some legal face-offs in the past, resulting from patent infringements, so I want to say this move comes as a surprise, but it doesn't, really. The South Korean wide is already working on three devices alleged to compete in opposition to Apple's three new iPhones. Most of the specifications and pricing details of the Galaxy Note 9 have been leaked via multiple sources and there's a lot to be excited about the upcoming handset. You can go to Samsung's or its, and submit your name, email ID, and carrier model of choice to reserve the smartphone.
