In a situation mirroring the ongoing difficulties in resurrecting Fortnite Playground mode and its promise of nigh-unlimited building, Epic Games announced earlier today that it would disable Final Fight ("the mode isn't quite where we want it to be") and re-enable trusty old 50v50 in its place... until it encountered some unexpected problems, resulting in a delay. Drop in because that's exactly what Epic is doing from now until Monday, July 2nd, 2 AM EST players will earn an extra 100% bonus XP. Even more so than if they did that in the regular modes, I mean, since your teammates' lives are literally the points you use to win. We are holding the release until next week to continue hammering away this weekend. Epic Games appears to be using this 50v50 LTM as an excuse to garner data and feedback on two of its newest items and weapons; according to the same Reddit post by Epic, this 50v50 LTM will contain twice the normal rate of dual pistol spawns, twice the normal rate of bounce pad spawns, and 50% greater resource rates.
The Final Fight game mode forced teams to travel to a third and final circle, where the storm was halted and a countdown clock began.
A handful of streamers and YouTubers were able to record their Playground sessions before the mode was taken offline, so at least we can all watch other people have fun while we wait.
Serena Williams deserves Wimbledon seed - Caroline Wozniacki

We'll update you as more information on Playground becomes available.
Later the same day, however, Epic disabled the mode, citing "issues with our matchmaking services". While the usual servers were back up and running within a few hours, Playground mode has yet to be restored. But now we know that whatever is going to happen is going to happen live.
