Realme is a new e-commerce-only sub-brand from OPPO

The first smartphone under the sub-brand Realme 1 has already been listed on the Amazon India website. Realme range of smartphones will be sold online and for which the company has announced a strategic association with India's largest online market place, Amazon India for the exclusive launch of its first smartphone, Realme 1. The question is whether the Realme 1 will be just as similar under the hood as well. The OPPO Mirror 5 launched way back in 2015 came with the similar diamond-like mirrored finish. And, the company also claims they have more than 500 authorised service centres where you will get a guaranteed service of the phone in an hour. Beneath the display is the physical home button with an integrated fingerprint sensor. While Amazon India (or OPPO) hasn't revealed any specifications of the Realme 1, it has shared an image of the Realme 1 that shows off its back.

Oppo is very successfull in the upper market segment and give tough competition to brand like Vivo. However, a second look confirms that this is a phone from Oppo and not Xiaomi and it is called Realme 1. Rs. 21,000). The smartphone comes in color options like Black, Silver, Pink and Red. It sports a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front snapper for selfies. Also, the design of the phone is compared with another phone which is likely a Redmi 5A (pictured above). The battery is a 3,400mAh unit and software powering the phone is Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.0. It will be launched on 15 May and will go on sale from 15 May itself from Amazon. In the six months duration of the survey, the company came to a conclusion that youth preferred smartphones with a differentiated design with a solid build quality and great performance, which didn't break their banks. The company has said that Realme will focus on the needs of online consumers through its unique design, specs and cutting-edge technology with an overall better quality.
