Lalu to remain under watch of camera at son's marriage

Tej Pratap Yadav, son of former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav is all set to tie the knot with Aishwarya Rai in a starry affair on Saturday.

Such is the political clout of his father in the state of Bihar, that a poster featuring Tej Pratap Yadav as Lord Shiva, his wife Aishwarya Rai as Parvati, was seen outside the party chief's residence in state capital Patna.

Tej Pratap Yadav, the eldest of the nine siblings, is a first-time lawmaker and was health minister until last July, when Nitish Kumar dumped the RJD and formed a new government with the BJP.

Mr Prasad's youngest son Tejaswi Yadav, also Leader of Opposition in state Assembly acted like a ideal host spending some moments by sitting with chief minister Mr Kumar in a jovial mood.

On Thursday, Prasad was granted a three-day parole by the Ranchi jail authorities to attend the wedding of his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav.

(G.N.S) Dt. 11 Patna Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad got provisional bail on medical grounds for six weeks from the Jharkhand High Court.

Nationalist Congress Party leader and former civil aviation minister Praful Patel was among the guests who arrived and left early by noon. Bhola Yadav, RJD General Secretary and a close aide of Prasad, told PTI in Ranchi that they were planning to go to Patna by the evening flight. Congress president Rahul Gandhi is also likely to attend the function.

JD (U) chief Nitish Kumar had past year walked out of the grand alliance with RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav.

The venue is a sprawling veterinary college ground, spread over 9,000 square metres, RJD leader Shakti Yadav said. This is the first time that the two Bihar leaders have been seen together on a stage after Nitish Kumar chose to snap ties with RJD in Bihar. Governor Satyapal Malik also congratulated Lalu family.
