Manziel, via Instagram, released a statement on the matter. He was first there to play in a golf tournament which was hosted by his former college teammate and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans.
Denise Michaels, a Manziel spokesperson, told ESPN's Kevin Seifert on Tuesday that her client was "fine".
