'Gotham' renewed for fifth and final season

TV Line broke the news that Gotham was renewed as an "11th hour decision" for the network. Head to our season finale rundown to see when the remaining big endings are airing, and then hop to our summer premiere schedule to see what shows will be premiering when "No Man's Land" is but a distant memory. "And when our fate was still on the line, it was you guys I was most upset about", Mazouz added of the passionate fanbase that blew up social media with the news.

According to Entertainment Weekly, that same fate will not be coming for Gotham and fans at least know to be prepared for the fifth season to be its final one. The villains of the dark DC Comics city have run wild for a few years now, but they are soon going to meet up with Batman himself. Don't forget Penguin too. Ah!

The network will hold the Season 2 premiere of Seth MacFarlane's The Orville until Sunday, Dec. 30, following an National Football League double-header; the sci-fi comedy drama will then shift into its regular Thursday time slot.

Trump CIA nominee: USA should not have undertaken harsh interrogations
Warner released the letter and on Tuesday afternoon, announced that in light of her assurances, he will support her nomination. Manchin, Donnelly and Heitkamp all are running for reelection in states that Trump won by wide margins in 2016.

Averaging a 0.8 demo rating and 2.62 million total viewers this season (in Live+Same Day numbers), Gotham ranks next-to-last in both measures among all Fox dramas (besting only the recently cancelled The Exorcist). ©2017 Fox Broadcasting Co.

"The fifth and final season will wrap up this unique origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, which revealed an entirely new chapter that has never been told", Fox says. From executive producer/writer Bruno Heller and executive producers Danny Cannon and John Stephens, GOTHAM follows the rise of Det.

Aided by lead-out The Orville, Gotham had a fairly decent fall considering its move to Thursdays, improving the time slot from last season and keeping its head above water. Donal Logue, Robin Lord Taylor, Cory Michael Smith, Morena Baccarin, Drew Powell, Alexander Siddig, Crystal Reed, Camren Bicondova, Erin Richards and Jessica Lucas are also part of the cast.
